Philips SHM6100/37 Multimedia Headset Review

This headset is a gem of a find. The sound quality is excellent when playing music. The bass is strong for its size and the treble isn’t exaggerated.

I tried this headset on my Mac and with my iPod. The sound was terrific. The sound from this headset was way better than the stock earphone provided for the iPod. Also, the bass was not distorted — you get a solid sounding low frequencies from this headset.

ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005HA-PU17-BK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 10.5 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) Review

First let me say that I purchased this item from another website, but let me be clear in saying that Amazon is my number one site for all types of purchases.
I have had this product for about a week now and I must say it does deliver. Not only does it have great battery perfomance, it offers a sleugh of other features that just make it an overall great value. I have been pondering it over for a while and decided to go the route of the netbook, its small enough to be portable, but has the abililty to handle basic task such as word processing, web browsing and email. I purchased this item with Windows 7 and was upset with the limitation of not being able to change the wallpaper. However, ASus has a great application/utility on their site that they released that circumvents this hinderance. I have it with Win 7 Starter, 1GB of Ram (which I upgraded to 2 GB - highly recommended) 250 GB HDD (with 500GB of Internet Storage, graciously provided by Asus), comes with an inner sleeve (I recommended getting a carry case), built in webcam and mic. It also has 3 USB ports, bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN, memory card reader and best of all 10.5hours of battery life, that you cannot beat.

Overall, for the cost and value plus the things you get from this machine, it is definately worth the purchase in my opinion.

You might be wondering why I gave it 4 stars after all the praise. Well Win 7 Starter for one, that is mainly M$ fault for even release a crippled version of windows 7, shame on them. And while the machine perfoms well for a netbook, dont expect to be doing lots of task at once. When you are use to fast desktop PCs it can be hard to take a step backwards.

MSI Wind U123-002US 10.2-Inch Red Netbook - 6 Cell Battery Review

I read all the reviews and thought I was prepared, but my MSI Wind turned out to be better than I thought. I saw lots of complaints about the touchpad, but I don’t have any problems with mine. In fact it works better than the one on my laptop.
The speakers are absolutely terrible. You just can’t turn them up loud enough. But I used it with earbuds and that worked just fine. I can touch type on the keyboard and the set up was too easy. I’m thinking about buying another one for my grandson. By the way, I paid more than the current price. Ouch!

Acer Aspire One AO751h-1378 11.6-Inch Blue Netbook - 3+ Hour Battery Life Review

Just got my new Acer today !

I had been looking at the Acer Aspire w/10″ screen for ages, and just so happened to look at Acer’s website and saw this one with the 11.6″ screen and decided based on such positive reviews on the other model, to get this one.
(Sucks that I had already ordered the leather case for the 10″ model in advance, so it doesn’t fit this one)

Although the specs clearly state that it comes with Windows XP, the product information talks about Vista as if it is what it comes with. It is not, but that’s OK, I like XP anyway.

It’s a very slick looking machine. Small and compact at only an inch thick and very lightweight, but sturdy. It is not a flimsy machine by no means.

Nice bright display, very good resolution on the web cam, and everything is very easy to use and configure, even if you are a first timer.
I had mine out of the box and connected to the wireless signal in my house, and my Sprint wireless card (USB) in about 5 minutes.

At first the volume of the built in speakers seems low..just adjust the built in EQ to give it a little more boost. Having Dolby 5.1 audio output more than makes up for that
Not enough of an issue to take any marks off.

I also ordered an IOGear Blue Tooth adapter IOGear Blue tooth USB Micro Adapter (GBU421) for so that I can add as many peripherals as I want without worrying about the only 3 USB ports, and a Blue Tooth Headset Motorola H800 Black Licorice BT Headset to use for video conferencing. Some models come Blue Tooth ready. This particular one, unless I am doing something wrong, needs an adapter.

I contemplated how inconvenient it would be not to have a drive for installation disks, but just about all peripheral makers have installation software and drivers available freely for download from their sites, so problem solved.

This seems to be the perfect little machine, great for what I need it for, and just perfect if you don’t want to be lugging around a big ole laptop to every meeting, class or coffee shop.

This is waayy cooler !

As I said, I highly recommend it and will be recommending it on my site as well. A very nice machine at a great price.

well i have only had this router going for a couple hours now! but the setup was as easy as luring a dog with a pork chop! and it definately outperforms the junk netgear that it replaced. I’m really happy with the way the wireless works on my laptop and i haven’t had any connection problems so far! lets just hope it is reliable and works for years to come. also a small note, my router has no antenna like shown in the photo, i’m not sure if i got the wrong router or if amazon used the wrong picture, but either way it doens’t matter to me cuz it still works great. i wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one if i needed it. hope this helps :oP
